  1. So once you put the drainzit in the oil drain plug hole.... do you leave it installed? Or do you need to reinstall the regular drain plug?

    1. I leave my Drainzit installed. That is its useful purpose. Just make sure the end is hooked into the tab provided to keep it out of the way of any hot or moving parts.

    2. Once installed I leave it that's what makes it so nice. When you want to drain your oil just remove the cap on the hose. Very clean.

    4. Once you install the drainzit you leave it in place. Be sure to tuck the hose in, when not in use.

    1. Should be one available. Next time u change your oil take the drain plug with you to the hardware and figure out what thread you have. All the drain hoses will have a thread size. Pick the one that works.
      Hope this helps.
      Drain plugs sometimes have bolt threads or pipe thread sizes, metric or SAE.

    1. The 12 mm threaded port on this drain hose has a 1.5 mm pitch.

    1. This is designed to fit Honda engines GX240,GX270,GX340,GX390, and GC160. This will work with the GX610 if the port size fitting is 12mm.

  6. Will this fit the Powerhorse large generators (420cc engine)?

    Wondering if this will fit the Powerhorse generators sold by Northern, specifically the 9kW and 11kW models that use the 420cc engine (example item # 750133)? The oil drain plug takes a 12mm socket, but I haven't been able to check the bolt size & thread pitch.

    1. The engines have a 12 mm port that would be compatible with this hose.

    1. Our item shown below is the Drainzit Oil Drain Hose that will work with a Briggs & Stratton engine. This will work with an engine that has a 1/4" drain fitting. Please make sure your engine has a 1/4" drain fitting.
