Remove Rust — Leave Hassles In The Dust
Capacity To Spare
The durable 0.9 cu. ft. steel tank holds approximately 90 lbs. of Steel Grit, Glass Bead, Aluminum Oxide, Plastic Grit, Walnut Shells, Black Beauty or other popular abrasive types. The pullup closure makes the hopper easy to load and seals the operation for mess-free results. And with a capacity that large, you can easily get a blasting time of 30 to 45 minutes on one tank load. To make things even easier, the 1/2in. dia. x 8ft.L heavy-duty blast hose allows you to move freely without dragging the blaster unit around.
Control You Can Count On
The blaster operates on standard shop air, requiring an 80–125 operating PSI at 7–15 CFM for optimum performance. An easy-to-use steel deadman control handle provides complete operating control of the blasting media during use, but instantly turns off the media flow when the handle is released.
Safety And Performance Go Hand-In-Hand
Three replaceable sealing blocks are included with this blaster to ensure smooth operation. And to give you complete peace of mind, the built-in pressure relief valve and pressure relieving ball valve meet OSHA requirements to help deliver safe operation.
Built With The Best Components
From its super stable large footprint, to its durable welded steel frame with corrosion-resistant powder-coat finish, to its easy-rolling 6in. rubberized all-terrain wheels, right down to its built-in pull handle for easy transport, even when the blaster is full, you can be sure you're getting top quality components through and through.

The nozzle size determines the CFM requirement needed to draw the abrasive. We offer six different nozzle sizes for this unit. The smallest (3/32") requires 7cfm @ 80PSI and the largest (5/16") requires 125 CFM @ 80PSI.
This particular unit comes with a 3/32" nozzle and a 1/8" (15CFM) nozzle.Helpful?

Can a 5/32 nozzle be used with this blaster?
-
ProductExpert43· 10 years ago
This ALC abrasive pressure blaster can be used with a 5/32 nozzle.

SHIndustries· 10 years ago
Yes it can. We offer 6 different size nozzles and 5/32" is one of them. Be advised that as the nozzle size increases so does the required volume of air needed to draw abrasive. The 5/32" nozzle requires 25cfm at 90psi whereas the 1/8" nozzle requires 15cfm at 90psi so you would want to check your compressor.

Can you use this "sand blaster" for wood working?
I am interested in using this item to "sand" and smooth wood for furniture making purposes. Would this machine work efficiently for this job?
thanks for your response at your earlier convenience!
-
Dansterowts· 11 years ago
Simply no. Sand blaster are not for sanding and smoothing. Just striping. You can use it on wood to remove paint and coating but should really use soda media which requires the soda blasting kit.

A sandblaster is best used to remove paint or other finishes from the wood. To smooth wood surfaces, a sander such as the one shown below would be used.

product needed to do job?
I am looking to blast some names in concrete through a plastic or vinyl template and I need to know how much air pressure and how small of a blaster I could get to do this project? The only thing the blaster willl have to do is remove some stain and sealer to expose concrete.
-
outbackwoodsman· 16 years ago
You will need in excess of 90 to 120 lb of pressure, but the CFM's are very important and I would recommend over 6 cfm. The cfm is the amount of air that your compressor will supply for an extended use. You could have a compressor that will put out 200 lbs of pressure, but if it is unable to maintain the set pressure during the job you will not be able to get done

In speaking with the manufacturer there is not set answer for this. Concrete is fairly porous and should be easy to cut into. You should be able to get by with the 50 pound siphon blaster item #1554. You will then just have to experiment with the PSI to see what works best for your application.

Would this sandblaster do well with a 185 diesel air compressor or would the compressor be too strong? I’m going to be sandblaster headstones with it
1 answer-
ProductExpert30· 8 months ago
As long as the air compressor has a max PSI or CFM limit that is greater than the sandblasters max then it would work.

Log Home ?
With Corncob media what is the nozzle size and cfm I would need to remove stain only? looking for my log home to prep for new coat of stain. thank you
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 12 years ago
For the corncob media a 5/32 nozzle would be suggested. The nozzle set item #155517 is a 2 nozzle set. It would require 25 CFM at 80 PSI for your air consumption.
