This ALC® Deadman Abrasive Blaster is perfect for a wide variety of surface preparation jobs such as removing paint, scale, rust and oxidation. Ideal for surface preparation on cars, trucks, machinery, steel, glass etching and much more. Features a 15ft. heavy-duty Goodyear blast hose designed for long life and maneuverability. Durable wheels and built-in handle allow for easy transport. Heavy-duty steel deadman shutoff handle for longevity and safety. Simply add abrasive and hook up to an air supply and you're ready to blast. Some assembly required.

    2. This abrasive blaster doesn't come with a screen or strainer to remove debris from the media. It is available as a separate item. Click the link below to view the appropriate strainer.

  2. what nozzles will fit this blaster i will need a 1/4" nozzle

    1. This abrasive blaster would use the deadman abrasive nozzles. At this time. we do not carry the deadman nozzles in 1/4 size.

  3. Can I use this for soda blasting. Is there a longer hose available maybe 25 foot. Thanks Dan

    1. This can be used for soda blasting. Part #AC40119 is a 20 foot hose and part#AC40121 is a 50 foot hose that can be purchased through our parts department at 1-800-657-0516.

  5. I am giving my concrete walls a sand blasted finish. Can Blasting Sand be used in this model? (40004)

    1. We do not recommend the use of sand or any other silica based product in the ALC Pressure Abrasive Blasters.

  6. can you add a longer blast hose to this unit?

    1. The recommended length for this abrasive blaster is 10 feet which is what the unit comes with. Northern offers replacement of the same length but not any longer. If you were to try a longer hose, it would reduce the effectiveness of the blasting action.

  7. What gas compressor work best with this???

    1. This ALC Pressure Abrasive Blaster has a minimum requirement of 7 CFM at 80 psi when using a 3/32 nozzle. Listed in the product manual is a chart listing recommendations for larger nozzle sizes. Choose a compressor that will provide the proper volume and pressure for the size of nozzles that will be used.

  8. How big of gas powered air compressor do I need

    1. It really comes down to what job you are doing and what size nozzle you are going to be using. If you use an 1/8" nozzle it would require a compress that will do 15 CFM, if you use a 5/32" nozzle then your compressor will need to do 25 CFM. The item #45938 will handle the higher CFM.
