  1. Why do you need the batteries?

    1. The batteries install on the bottom portion of the water heater. The batteries are used to power the igniter on the water heater.

    2. Yes, 2 D cell batteries. They install under the heater. They ingnite the heater when you operate the sprayer. Its automatic and the water only takes about 2 mins. to heat up.

  2. how do I ignite the burner?

    1. The igniter is powered by two D-cell batteries. To ignite the burner, install the batteries, then turn the heat and flow control knobs to the ON position. The electronic igniter will automatically light the burner.

  4. When does the burner display screen become active? What turns it on……I do not see a switch

    1. The burner display screen becomes active when the inlet water pressure exceeds 0.03 MPa with the flow switch set to low water volume, or 0.07 MPa with the flow switch set to high water volume. It is controlled by a micro switch inside the water heater.
