  1. What is the size and the number of threads/inch of the threaded hole in the end of the shaft on the Honda engine model # GX270UT2QA2

    1. This engine has a 3-31/64" x 1" shaft with a 3/8" -24 threads per inch (TPI) tapped end.

  2. Is the shaft keyed and if so what size? 1/4"?

    Not in the listed specs regarding the crank shaft. as for most engines listed.

  3. when you mention throttle control is "remote (wire)" do you mean by throttle cable as you would use on a go cart, etc?

    1. On this motor you will find a small hole in the throttle lever where a throttle cable or wire can be inserted. This is a general purpose engine that could be used on a go cart.

    Can I remove the electric start from my old GX270 and install on a new GX270 that doesn't come with electric start? If so, is it a fairly easy task?

    1. You are not able to add the electric start feature to an engine that does not have it included upon the purchase.

  6. To mount engine what is the bolt holes space on center ? to bolt engine to frame .

    1. This Honda horizontal OHV engine - 270cc has a bolt circle diameter of 5" and 6 1/2". To measure the bolt circle you want to measure from the center of the shaft to the center of the bolt and multiply by 2.
