Glideforce LD-ACME model linear actuator features an all-metal housing and is water-resistant and sealed against dust for rugged durability. 12V motor has 20:1 reduction gearbox that gives actuator a dynamic load rating of 110 lbs. and is rated to hold up to 500 lbs. when not moving. Use to raise and lower power equipment attachments, auto hoods and trunks, position solar panels, television lifts and many other applications around the home and farm. Unit can be controlled with a double pole, double throw switch or with the built-in position sensor and optional linear actuator programmable controller.

  1. Usable for a snowplow power angle?

    Wondering if this would be sturdy enough for using as a power angle for a 60" snowplow on an ATV.

    1. I would use one of the stronger actuators with a higher STATIC LOAD capacity for such an application.

    2. This actuator would not be sturdy enough for this application. It would not stand up to the weight of the snow. It would be recommended to use the industrial actuator, item #27325 for 1000 pounds.

  2. Which DPDT switch for use with 27327 linear actuator?

    I want to purchase the actuator for a dump trailer. I don't want to do anything fancy, just simple dump and return switch. I noticed there are switches listed with the product, one of which is currently unavailable. Neither are listed as a double pole/double throw switch which is what I believe would be best suited for my dumper project? Can you tell me which switch you have that will work for me?

    1. This linear actuator only has a 110 lb. weight capacity and would not be a good selection for your application. Please see our item #3309041 or #3309027 for your application. You want to make your selection by the make, model and weight capacity. Search under lift gates+dump kits for a full selection.
