  1. How do I store this generator; with gas in carburetor or not?

    1. I store mine with the Gas in. However, I do add Gasoline additive to keep the gas fresh, and drain the tank once a year, adding new gas. I dont throw out the old gas, just add it to my truck. Even if the gas is a little old, it wont hurt anything as I am adding 5 gallons of old gas to 25 gallons or so of new gas.

      If you store it without gas in the tank, the carb seals will dry out and not work properly.

    2. Follow manufacturer directions. Make sure you add a fuel stabilizer and run it to get into system.Because tank is galvanized its more prone to water vapor as the temps rise and fall-keep it filled to top.Clean oil and fuel are important for long term storage.I will leave choke on to close off carb.

    3. We left feul in ours for the year and had no problems running it this year. Temps dropped to about -15 F during the winter. No worries.

    4. This ETQ generator should be started at least once every week. If this cannot be done and you must store the unit more than 30 days, please follow the following guidelines...

      1- Close the fuel valve: drain the fuel from the fuel tank

      2- Drain the fuel from the carburetor

      3- Remove the oil filter cap and drain plug to
      drain the oil.

      4- Tighten the oil drain plug and fill the engine
      with new oil to the filter neck.

      5- Pull the starter grip carefully until resistance is felt.

      6- Store the generator in a clean area.

    1. Yes, the engine has a heavy duty cast iron sleeve.

  5. what is output amperage of this generator?

    I have a MIG wire welder that requires 20amp service. I would like to be able to power the welder with a generator at times power is not available at a job. Some generators I find have 20 amp receptacles but only put out about 12 amps or so (which will not power my welder) before the generator starts to overheat or breakers trip out.

    1. This welder will put out 22 amps. You will need to use the 30 amp plug to use all the amps it will put out. The 20 amp circuits will not give you the full 22 amps. This is provided your welder is a 110/115 volt 20 amp welder.
