  1. Can I plug my rv into the female end? I can't see the plug in pattern.

    1. Yes you can as long as your RV is 30amp service and not a 50amp service like most 5th wheel

    2. Most RVs are set up for 120 VAC. This cord attaches to a 240 V outlet on your generator. While it is possible to find a Y adapter (such as the one shown below) to split out the two 120 V legs which make up the 240 V, you would be using just one side of your generator's output if you plugged into one of the Y-adapters outlets. Running with the two legs unbalanced is not the greatest way to run your generator.

      Their may be easier ways to accomplish this: some generators have a plug which channels all their available power into one 120V outlet. That would be a better way to go. For example, if your generator has an L5-30 socket (30 Amp, 120 V, a 3-pin twist-lock receptacle), you would use NT part #100177 to plug into your generator and adapt to a standard 30 Amp RV plug (see second linked item below)

    3. The plug pattern is an L14-30. This is a 4 prong twistlock plug.

    1. This power cord is a 4-prong NEMA L14-30 cord. It would not work with an I5-30 plug.

  5. Hello, I have an odd but necessary question I need to have answered about this product. What diameter is the cord? I'm looking for a heavy duty cable that is as close to 0.75" as possible.

    1. The plug ends have a 1-5/8" diameter. The cord has a 5/8" diameter.

    1. The 30 Amp power cord will work with the Briggs and Stratton generator. For this cord to fit a generator, the unit needs to be equipped with a 30 amp 120/240 locking plug (L14-30).

  10. Can I connect this to another 30A 10ft cord to get 30ft total?

    Can I connect this to the 30A 10ft Reliance cord that came with my transfer switch to get a total of 30ft length?
