I have 2 100 pound cylinders to supply this. (not in sequence) How do I determine which regulator I need
1 answer-
ProductExpert11· 7 months ago
This appliance is equipped with a snap-opening, combination gas valve. The maximum supply pressure to the appliance is 14” W.C. or 1/2 P.S.I. If the line pressure is more than the maximum supply pressure, then use a line regulator or a line regulator which corresponds to the supply pressure. If a second stage regulator is used and gas seeps through it, the redundant combination gas valve is designed to lock out.

How is the temperature regulated with this unit?
1 answer-
ProductExpert11· 4 years ago
The heater is controlled by a line voltage thermostat. Alternatively, you may use a 24-volt thermostat with a relay kit or an on/off switch. The thermostat would be sold separately.

The power supply to the unit should be protected with a fused disconnect switch or circuit breaker. Check local codes and regulations for electrical requirements.

The propane cannot be throttled. We offer thermostats, item 16281 and 16279 to control the temperature you would like to operate at.

Two Heaters using one thermostat?
I just ordered two heaters to be connected to a 200 gallon propane tank. Can I use one thermostat for both heaters for each heater to run independent of the other. If yes which thermostat do you recommend? And do I need to buy electrical wiring for it and what is the power source for the thermostat?
1 answer-
ProductExpert35· 9 years ago
These heaters can share a single thermostat but will not function independently of each other. The thermostat will turn on or shut off both heaters simultaneously. A line voltage thermostat is recommended as using a 24 volt thermostat would require the use of relays and complicate the installation.

CAN MULTIPLE UNITS BE USED IN THE SAME GARAGE. IF SO ARE THEY DAISY CHAINED TO THE PROPANE TANK OR CONNECTED INDIVIDUALLY TO THE SAME TANK
1 answer-
ProductExpert36· 11 years ago
You can use multiple units in the same garage as long as there is enough indirect venting for the units used. Two heaters can be connected to the same propane line as long as there is sufficient pressure from the tank. We recommend contacting a certified installer in your area who can give you suggestions based on your garage setup and is familiar with any local codes regarding propane heater installations.
