Product Summary

The RDS Rectangular Transfer Fuel Tank is DOT Approved for transferring diesel fuel, gasoline or aviation fuel from the bed of a pickup to automobiles, heavy equipment, boats, 4-wheelers, generators, or anything else requiring fuel that you may have. Enjoy the convenience of a gas station that goes where you go. This aluminum fuel tank does not rust, which protects fuel from contamination. The tank can also be used as an auxiliary unit to provide additional capacity for a diesel factory tank with the use of an RDS diesel install kit (Item#s 3490901, 3490902 and 43748, sold separately). Diesel install kits will work with any RDS tank with a drain fitting. Auxiliary tank function is for use with diesel fuel only and is not for use with gasoline, which cannot be gravity-fed. It is the user's responsibility to comply with local, state and federal requirements pertaining to safe transportation, loading and discharging tank contents.

    I want to put this on a trailer, but worry about the tongue weight..

    1. The tank weighs 112 pounds and 91 gallons of diesel fuel will weigh 647 pounds. The total weight will be approximately 759 pounds. With 91 gallons of gas the fuel will weigh 562 pounds. The total weight will be approximately 674 pounds.

    1. There is no time limit for fuel storage as long as the fuel is kept stabilized and fresh.

  10. Does it have the drain plug to had the Diesel Install Kit

    1. This tank includes a 3/8" threaded drain that can be used to add an auxiliary conversion kit. Please see our item #43748, #3490901, or 3490902 for auxiliary conversion kits that can be used with this tank.
