This RDS Diesel Install Kit for Auxiliary Transfer Tank Conversion is designed to connect an auxiliary diesel fuel tank to your truck's fuel fill hose to provide a consistent gravity feed of fuel. A built-in rollover valve prevents overfilling. The kit includes hoses, clamps and fittings for easy installation. Works with a wide selection of RDS fuel transfer tanks and RDS fuel tank/toolbox combos (check individual tanks for compatibility.) Intended for diesel fuel only. Fits 2013 and Newer Dodge diesel trucks with a 1 3/4in. fill line.

    It appears that this kit assumes that the fill neck of the truck is made of rubber, so that the hose splicer can be inserted and secured with hose clamps, correct? My 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 dually has a metal tube descending from the fill-up inlet. I assume that means this kit is not suitable for my truck?

    1. I just installed it into the lower tube the is rubber closer to the center of the bed after the metal downspout ends. Super easy.

    2. You cut a 4 1/2" - 5" section out of the steel filler tube and install the supplied T in it's place.
      I agree, the description on the website could be clearer, but the instructions that come with the kit are extremely easy to follow.

    1. This item is designed to only work with 2013 and newer Dodge diesel passenger trucks through 350 or 4500. It would not be designed for other models.

    1. If you don’t have a fuel cap for your truck, you can purchase a replacement fuel cap that is compatible with your vehicle. The RDS Diesel Install Kit for Auxiliary Transfer Tank Conversion (Model 011408) includes hoses, clamps, and fittings, but it does not come with a fuel cap.

  8. WHAT SIZE IS THE AUXILLIARY FUEL LINE?

    1. The line that runs from the auxiliary tank to the filler neck adapter has a 5/8" inside diameter. The filler neck connector hose has a 1-3/4" inside diameter.
