  1. This can be used as a main gas tank, correct? Wanting to replace the stock tank which is not replaceable

    1. It is not gas approved. only diesel.

  2. Why is this tank not permitted to carry gas?

    I want to put this in the bed of my gas powered truck, I live in Montana. What would I have to do to make it so that it could and what install kit would I need?

    1. In case of a roll over accident, the tank will not retain gas/diesel, gas will explode. Diesel will not.

    2. An auxiliary feed is designed for use with diesel fuel only. Gasoline is not supposed to gravity feed to a vehicle's fuel tank as it is a highly flammable fuel.

  3. Im told that this item does work with Gasoline, pending state regs?

    If so, how is it fed to the main gas tank?

    1. Yes when you decide too.or just leave the valve open and it keeps draining into your main tank.

    1. The fuel gauge can be removed and replaced with a 1.5" NPT plug.

  6. Is this system auto transferable with a automatic pumping system or is it manual?

    1. This is an auxiliary tank only and would need to be connected to your trucks fuel tank with an auxiliary conversion kit. See item numbers 3490901, 3490902 and 43748 to determine which one would work with the make and model of your vehicle.

  7. Can a cross the bed tool box fit over the tank?

    1. This will have an overall height of 11-1/2". You will need to measure the height of the truck bed from the top of the bed rail to the floor of the bed. You will also need to measure the crossover box from where it sits on the bed rail to the bottom of the crossover box. Add the height of this tank and the crossover box together to determine if they will fit together in the truck box.

  8. What is the distance between the flanges that attach the tank to the truck bed, I want to be sure it doesn't interfere with my Andersen hitch.

    1. The fuel tank only has one flange (mounting tab) on the front. It is located in the center of the fuel tank and is 25" from the end.
