  1. what is the cfm rating at the tank also how much free air delivrey does this machine produce

    1. The tank outlet is a 3/4" full bore valve. The limitation will be your piping and hose system. For the pump keeping the tank full this will be typical of any 7.5hp compressor. The after cooler with the MAX package will help to keep the air cooler and dryer during extended operation also helping increase efficiency of your tools.

    2. The Quincy air master air compressor - 7.5 HP, 230 volt single phase delivers 22.6 CFM (cubit feet per minute of air) at the max PSI (pounds per square inch of pressure) of 175 and has a working PSI of 145 to 175 PSI.

      How much free air delivery the compressor produces is gauged by variable factors including the temperature reading at the air inlet and outlet which can vary on any given day and therefore precludes the ability to give a definitive answer. The formula for calculating free air delivery is as follows:

      Free air delivery (FAD) is a standardized measure of the capacity of an air compressor.

      To calculate the free air delivery of a compressor firstly the pressure and temperature at the inlet of the compressor are needed. Then the pressure and temperature of the outlet air along with the volume discharged are also measured. The output volume of the air is referenced back to inlet conditions using the Ideal Gas Law.

      The standard method for measuring free air delivery is given in the Standard ISO 1217, annex C. The CAGI-Pneurop PN2 CPTC 2 standard can also be applied.

  2. Will this work at 208V, 2 pole,1 Phase? We do not have 230V in the building.

    1. The air compressor would need to be connected to 230 volt, 1 phase, it could not be connected to 208 volt.

  3. Is a regulator included?

    1. The Quincy QT-7.5 does not include a regulator. Please see item 37580 for a regulator for this compressor.

  4. What air dryer is adequate for this compressor? Model# 271C80VCBM

    Does it have to be a high temp air dryer even with the max package that includes an after cooler?

    1. As this air compressor has a built in after-cooler, a high temp air dryer is not required. Both air dryers that have been listed, items 325027 and 325023 are suitable for use with this compressor. Item 51727 is also suitable for this air compressor.

  5. Cable Requirements

    I understand that #8 wire is required for this compressor but would that be 8/2 (plus ground) or 8/3 (plus ground) as I am renovating my shop and need to buy the wire now to prepare?

    1. This Quincy Compressor requires 8/3 plus a ground wire.
