    If we have an electric outage, like a storm, would this still operate.

  3. What color is the flame?

    I've seen some vent free stoves where the flame is more blue and not realistic in appearance.

    1. Blue with yellow tips. Pretty realistic...

  4. Can this stove be used to warm food on top during a power outage?

    Someone already asked how hot the stove top gets and there are 2 very conflicting answers.

  5. What type of flooring can it sit on safely?

    can this sit on a wood floor or does it need to sit on brick or stone? How much heat comes out the bottom?

    1. We installed it on a LVT (vinyl plank) floor. It runs cool on the bottom, no issue with heat on the floor.

    2. This Pleasant Hearth Stove can be installed on a wood floor that extends the full width and depth of the stove. It is safe to use on wood floor with the amount of heat that radiates out the bottom.

  6. Can the front grill be opened to access logs?

  7. With blower, where does heat come out?

    If the optional blower is installed with this unit, where does the heat blow out of the heater? Down low, across the floor or up higher? Current room heater blows the air out at floor level, so it can rise up from the floor (and avoids having your feet on the floor where the cold air settles!).

    1. Blows out top front above inner liner.

  8. Logs come with it? Are they ceramic?

    Bought one in the past and was disappointed that the logs were made of something that melted if touched by the flame.

    1. They are not ceramic, but I have not had any issues with them. Don't they would ever melt.

    1. If you have a ceiling fan in room you do not need a blower.
