This NorTrac Industrial AC Power Unit features a heavy-duty electric motor for long life. The 208/230V pressure-balanced high-efficiency gear pump is high speed with a high flow rate. Has a 16-gal. reservoir tank that can be used for lift-hold-lower functions or pressure and return port only by removing solenoid valve and installing return port plug assembly. Ideal for use with lift tables, scissor lifts, aerial work platforms and other industrial and logistic applications.

  2. Do the return-port plug conversion leaves pump flow continuously available at P whenever the motor runs?

    1. The return port conversion converts the power unit to be a Pressure & Tank unit. This means the unit supplies fluid pressure to a valve block and returns fluid to the tank. As long as your system does not require more volume than the tank holds, this unit will provide fluid to the system throughout the cycle.

  3. “Can 2 model 53451 power units with separate 16-gal reservoirs be operated with their pressure outputs paralleled through check valves? If so, what is the approved method for balancing/equalizing the two reservoirs when they share a common return circuit?

    1. Each unit has its own check valve. To equalize the fluid levels between the reservoirs, connect the reservoirs using the lowest available port on the power unit’s reservoir.

      For the additional reservoir, position the connection port approximately 1 inch above the bottom of the reservoir. This helps prevent particles or debris from being transferred between the reservoirs.

      Keep in mind that modifications like this will void the warranty and should only be done at the user's discretion.

    1. The P (in) port is 3/4"-16 UNF and is covered with a red cap in the photo. The M (out) port is 9/16"-18 UNF and is located on the opposite side.

    I want to add a secondary valve and need to dump it back into the tank, there is a dip stick in one port, and a plugged port in the other corner, what is that thread size for the plugged port on top of the tank?
