This system uses a four-step process to protect and prolong the life of the log splitter's hydraulic system components. These components include a 100 mesh suction strainer pre-filter, a 40 micron breather, and a 10 micron return line filter that can removes particles that are smaller than a human eye can see. The magnetic drain plug and tank baffling attract metal shavings and particles, preventing them from flowing through the hydraulic system.
