This NorthStar Horizontal Log Splitter with Log Lift gives you premium components and exclusive features that let you save time, increase performance and work effectively. The backbone of this log splitter is an industrial-strength I-beam with heavy plate steel reinforcement. Hydraulically adjustable NorthStar 4-way wedge lets you quickly move from 4-way to 2-way splitting in a matter of seconds. 4-way splitting makes each stroke more efficient. The auto-return wedge saves time and effort when splitting.

The premium hydraulic system is protected by a quad filtering system that uses 4 different components to protect the hydraulic system from contaminants. Large hydraulic oil reservoir allows fluid to cool, reducing wear and allowing fluid to last longer. High-speed hubs, torsion axle, 15in. wheels with high-speed tires and integrated trailer lights make it easy to get to the worksite. Comes with hydraulic log lift, capable of raising logs up to 660 lbs. Actual hydraulic cylinder color may vary from product shown (cylinder will be black or red, dependent upon available stock.) Not for sale in California.

  1. Can the wedge be positioned variably?

    1. yes, the wedge is great

    2. The height of the wedge is adjustable. It can be raised or lowered depending on the type of cut you need. When it is lowered, it will split logs in half/2-way. When it is raised, it will do a 4-way split.

    1. This log splitter is not equipped with a log holder to hold the split pieces of wood.

  3. Can you adjust the cycle time to make it faster?

    1. There is not an adjustment on the splitter to allow you to be able to change the cycle time. Modifications would need to be made to the splitter to change this. We do not recommend that any modifications be done to the splitter. Any modifications made to the splitter will void the manufacture's warranty.
