This Northern Industrial 125 flux core welder welds 18-gauge up to 3/16in. mild steel for light industrial applications. It should be used with flux core welding only.

    does it come with a 2lb spool of wire.does it accept a larger spoon of wire . are replacment parts in stock.

    4. A spool of wire is not included with this reconditioned welder. It will accept either a 2 lb. or 10 lb. spool of wire. Replacement parts are available from our parts department.

    1. No. Its a flux core welder only which should only be used for steel.

    1. yes, I had no problem.(Ran it for about a week.) Just don't try to run other significant stuff on the same breaker at the same time as welding.

  6. WILL THIS WELD 1/4 TO 1/2 INCH STEEL?

    1. It's not going to have the heat producing ability to really penetrate the metal and you are going to get colder welds. I wouldn't recommend it as the metal would be too thick for this machine.

    2. This welder will weld up to 3/16" steel. It would not weld 1/4 to 1/2" steel.

    1. Yes, all the above is included. One issue is the tips supplied with the gun, I received all 0.030" tips, so needed to drill one out to use 0.035 wire.

  8. Is the output 125amps or 80amps - which one?

    The headline says this item has a 125 amp output, but the details say that it's rated at an 80 amp output... which is it?

    1. Based on how it welds I'm certain it is 125 amps. I will update if they let me once I get my amp tester so I can verify. I will attempt to post this by the middle of next week.

    2. This welder has a 20 percent duty cycle at 80 amps with a peak of 125 amps. The 125 amps would be for a shorter duration or duty cycle.
