The MHU50LP heater has a 3 inch diameter vent size. It connects to our F102840 (3" Vertical Vent Kit), F102860 (Horizontal Vent Kit), and the F102848 (4" Vertical Vent Kit).

Above 2000 feet the manifold pressure must be adjusted on some units. There is a table listed in the manual to adjust the pressure accordingly.

Is the unit not safe if installed less than 8' from the floor?
I am having a residential 3.5 bay garage built and it will have 8' ceilings.

Installation in parking structures must be in accordance with the current Standard for Parking Structures ANSI/NFPA No. 88A. Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code CSA B149.1 states an eight foot minimum clearance from the floor to the bottom of the heater must be maintained.

Can you vent through the wall below the heater or does it have to be vented through the wall equal or above the heater when mounted?

The horizontal vent through the wall would need to be above the vent exhaust of the heater so condensation could exit the tubing. For upward sloped vent a condensate tee and drain must be installed within the first 5’ from the unit heater.

how do i reverse the inlet and outlet.
I have looked at the manuel but can't find instructions to change the inlet and outlet ?

Will this work with a 4" horizontal power vent?
I am replacing an old propane furnace which is vented with a 4" pipe which leaves the unit vertically and then turns horizontally through the wall with a blower up where it goes through the wall that turns on when the burner starts. Will this system work with this heater?

No, this heater will not turn your blower on when the heater fires up. This heater has an enduced draft blower to help with exhaust. We recommend to contact the manufacturer directly to see if your combination of rise and run will work with this unit. As always, check local codes as well to ensure you meet all local standards.

does it come with 4" adapater to vent pipe (for horizontal)? I will buy pipe locally
do I need anything else except a wiring pig tail and gas line (I assume it require 1/2" NOT 3/4") and of course vent pipe, cap wall thimble, etc.

The heater does not come with an adapter for 4" vent pipe. It would use 1/2" gas line. There would not be anything else required for the installation.

My pole building is36x30 with 11 ft high ceilings.
Will this heater be to small.

This heater will work in your pole barn just fine as long as the desired temperature and actual temperature in your building does not exceed 30 degrees.

You could find the venting locally but you would have to check local and state codes as applicable to the venting of this unit and the venting kit and or parts you would be using to make sure of safety, legality and for insurance purposes.
