How close can u hang from ceiling. Does back get hot
Does pilot light stay on constantly?

The heater will get hot on the back and should have a minimum clearance from the ceiling of 34". It should be mounted at a 45 degree angle. The clearance from the sides and back are 30" and the clearance from the bottom should be 68".
