  1. What is the fuel consumption at 1800 RPMs

    1. The generator has a 9.62 gallon fuel tank, At a 50% load, it will run approximately 11 hours and use about 0.87 gallons per hour, at 100% load it would use about 1.37 gallons per hour.

    1. This generator is made to be outdoors, no shelter is needed for it.

  3. Can the Kubota generator be hooked up to a larger fuel tank?

    1. The Kubota GL14000 doesn't support external fuel tanks, and modifying it could void the warranty and pose safety risks. Use the internal tank or multiple units for longer runtime.

    1. The generator does not use DEF fluid. The warranty through the manufacturer is a 2 year limited warranty. Please contact the manufacturer direct for service.

  8. is this ato start when power goes out

    1. The generator would need to be set up on a transfer switch to your circuit breaker panel. When the power goes out it would automatically switch over to the transfer switch to run the generator and when sense with the power comes back on and switch back to the main circuit breaker panel.

  9. Can this generator be hooked up to start automatically when my solar batteries get too low with the proper controller?

    1. You will need to purchase an auto start kit KT00074 (NTE SKU 129891). This will make the generator capable of accepting a signal from a transfer switch. A transfer switch would need to be purchased separately per specifications. It is recommended to use an electrician for installation.

  10. Hi. Is there a specific automatic transfer switch for this unit?

    1. Kubota lists a 100 amp transfer switch model RSS100-6634 and a 200 amp model RSS200-6635.
      Neither transfer switch is offered by Northern Tool at this time.
