  1. What is the duty cycle ratio? How long can I weld continuously?

    1. The duty cycle is 30% at 90 amps. The maximum you may weld continuously is 3 minutes. The duty cycle defines the number of minutes, within a 10 minute period, during which a given machine can safely produce a particular current. If the machine working time reaches to the maximum working time according to the duty cycle, the thermal protector will activate and the “Overload Indicator” will illuminate. The machine will automatically shut down until it cools, then you may resume welding again.

    1. A replacement conductive liner is not available for the welder.

  5. How to switch it from gasless to mig. I'm sure i have to reverse the polarity

    1. The MIG electrode polarity jumper should be connected to the positive (+) DINSE socket. The ground cable would then be connected to the negative (-) DINSE socket. Please make sure to use the drive roll marked "V". Attach the included gas hose to the regulator's outlet and the welder's gas inlet. Wrench tighten both connections. Then, connect the gas regulator with the gas cylinder.

  6. I just received my klutch 140. I noticed in the directions that it specifies different wire drives for MIG vs flux core. In the owners manual it says to use a v drive roller for MiG and a KV drive roller for flux core. Does the unit come with both?

    1. The welder is ready for MIG and flux-core welding, which means it should include both necessary drive rollers.

  7. Can this unit be powered by a generator, if so what rating required?

    1. This welder requires 15 amps on a 120 volt circuit. A generator rated for 2,000 continuous watts or greater is recommended.

  8. I just bought this welder earlier this week and I was wondering Can I use this welder as a power source to stick weld with?

    1. This welder is not designed for stick welding. It is not equipped with any receptacles to power auxiliary products.

  9. Do you sell replacement contact tips for the gun?

    1. This welder uses Tweco style contact tips. It can be uses with .030" tips like item 48316 or .035" tips like item 48318.
