  10. Can I run this welder off of a generator? I have a predator generator 6500 starting watts, 5500 running watts. Is it safe for the machine to run off of that?

    1. Using an inverter generator with a low total harmonic distortion (THD) is recommended. To operate on 120V, this machine would require a generator with a minimum continuous output of 4,500 watts. To operate on 230V, this machine would require a generator with a 12,500 watt continuous output.
