  1. Minimum fuse size for Hobart Iron Man 230-volt welding machine.

    1. This unit has a rated input Amperage of 50.8 at 240 volts at rated load . A 50 amp breaker or fuse should be adequate , provided it has proper Wiring size / Circuit length etc…. As always a Certified Electrician is strongly recommended for proper and safe installations.

    1. To MIG weld steel with a Hobart IronMan 240, you should use a shielding gas mixture of 75% Argon and 25% Carbon Dioxide (C25 gas).

    1. This machine can run .023 wire, .030 wire, .035 wire and .045 wire with the appropriate contact tips. Please see item 1640897 for the .023 contact tips.
