    1. The brake drum is designed for 3500 pound capacity axles. It would not be compatible with a 1955 Chevy.

  4. Is one of the drums/hubs fitted with left hand threaded studs? And, does each drum come with new inner and outer races, bearings, seals and dust caps?

    1. Per the manufacturer, there is no way to tell if it has left hand or right hand threaded studs. It would come with new inner and outer races, bearings, seals and dust caps.

    1. The inner bearing is model number L68149. The other bearing is model number L44649.

  7. Do these brakes work with a surge actuator (no electronics)? Or do they require electronic activation?

    1. The hub does not include the brakes. The drum hub is used in combination with either hydraulic activated drum brakes that use a surge actuator or electric brakes that are activated by connecting the brakes to a brake controller on the tow vehicle.

    1. This will have a 4-1/2" bolt circle. The spacing of the studs, center to center, is 2.645".
