  1. does have bolt holes so it can be bolted to something if so what is the size holes and how fall apart are the holes.

    1. The Haldex 12 Volt DC Power Unit does have mounting holes. The bolt holes are 3/8"-16. From center hole to center hole it is 3.76".

  2. Can this pump be mounted vertically?

    1. Yes, but rain will leak into the top of the motor if not protected

    2. This unit can be mounted vertically. Please install a 90 degree elbow on the fill tube to keep the filler/breather cap horizontal when the unit is mounted vertically. Also If the unit is mounted vertically, the usable oil capacity of the reservoir decreases.

  3. How much weight will this lift and what is the travel?

    1. It is a pump, it has a 3 qt reservoir. It will not lift anything without being connected to a hydraulic system.

    2. This unit will not lift or provide any travel on its own. The purpose of this power unit is to supply fluid power to a hydraulic device such as a cylinder. When used with a cylinder, the lift capacity and travel will be dependent on the cylinder that it is used with.

  4. How do you adjust the PSI lower?

    1. Disconnect the power source to the power unit. Install a pressure gauge on the high pressure line to the pump and cylinder. Locate the relief valve. Remove the cap to expose the adjustment screw and jam nut. To loosen the jam nut, hold the adjustment screw steady with your Allen wrench while loosening the lock nut. To increase the pressure, turn the adjustment screw clockwise to tighten the internal spring. To decrease pressure, turn the adjustment screw counter clockwise. Turn the screw slowly in 1/4" increments. You will need to test the system. Engage the pump and read the peak PSI on the gauge. Once you have reached the desired PSI (do not exceed the maximum PSI) hold the set screw in place and tighten the jam nut. Then replace the valve cap and hook up power back to the power unit.

    1. The return port is located on the top of the power unit. It is in the center of the power unit located between the fill cap and starter switch.

    1. The pressure port is located on the top right of the pump, specifically on the valve manifold.

    1. The power unit would use automatic transmission fluid. Dextron 3 is recommended.

  10. What style fitting goes with this pump? Is it the o-ring style? Nothing is stated other than 9/16". It would be helpful if you linked it to a variety of fittings.

    1. It will need to be used with a 9/16" o-ring male fitting. We currently do not offer that size o-ring fitting.
