    1. Yes, it can be mounted to a concrete floor if it is securely bolted using proper heavy-duty concrete anchors.

  2. Can the steel cable be changed to a stainless cable..what is the connection to the arbor..is the unit waterproof

    1. The steel cable is attached to the drum using a puck. Modifications to the winch are not recommended. Modifications will void the manufacturer's warranty. The winch is not waterproof. The winch will have an IP64 rating.

  3. In the 1500 AC the control box that is handheld part with the 12 foot cable does not have a grounding cable inside. There is only a red white brown and black. Why is it not grounded?

    1. The Warn 85330 winch remote does not include a ground wire because it transmits low-voltage signals and is isolated from the power circuit. Grounding is managed through the main AC power cord and the chassis. For further information, please refer to the PDF manual.

    1. The portable anchor plate model 70770 allows the winch to be portable and anchor to a variety of objects. The anchor plate can be purchased through the manufacturer directly.

    1. This unit can run for 30 minutes before it needs to cool off for 15 minutes.
