  1. Can i buy hubs for this axle

    1. This axle requires hubs with a 1.75" inner bearing and a 1.25" outer bearing. The hubs must also have an individual weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. minimum since this axle has a 7,000 lbs. capacity. At this time, Northern Tool does not offer any hubs with these specifications.

  2. I would like o know what the distance is between bolt holes? I have a trailer with 70 1/2"inches outside frame if possible I would attach a plate for the additional 1 1/2".

    1. The measurement from the outside to outside of the mounting bracket is 72".

  3. How about triple-tandem?

    I see from another's question that these heavy-duty axles are OK for tandem applications. I want to use them to make a 40' Sea/Land container into a trailer. Two would do for my intended load, but a third axle might be better/safer and more versatile. Can these axles be mounted in a three-axle tandem application?

    1. Three axle systems are not recommended for torsion axles. At this time Northern Tool does not sell any parts for a three axle system.

  4. can this axle be used in a tandem application?

    I have a 10K gooseneck and it was run up on a curb and both axles need to be replaced.

    1. This torsion trailer axle can be used in a tandem axle configuration as long as both axles are the same.

  5. Can the spindle arm be removed for start down angle adjustment?

    1. The torsion axle is set at a 30 degree down start angle. The arm cannot be removed to adjust the start down angle.
