Product Summary

By choosing the hub, spindle and axle tube you need and building it yourself, you save money and get a better result. Axle tubes are 72in. long and can be cut to the exact length needed for your application. Welding an axle requires the proper equipment and skill needed to apply a proper weld. If you are not comfortable with your welding capabilities, have a qualified welder assemble your axle.

  1. Is the spindle stub square of round?

    In the description it says it's 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" but the picture shows round. I need a kit with the round stubs

    2. They are round, 1.25 diameter to be exact. They stick out behind the flange 1.8 inches. They are simply telling you that you can fit them in square tubing if you like.

    3. The ends of the hub are 1 1/4" round. They are designed to fit into the 1.5" x 1.5" square axle item #124991.

  3. Please confirm this is a complete unit

    Does it include 4 bolt hub, bearings,main spindle alreadly in place, ready to to be placed inside a 1-1/2" tube and welded? Then just bolt on rims and go?

    I do not need to buy spindle seperately?

    1. ALL 1 PIECE. JUST WELD IT ON AND ADD UR RIMS.
      NO NEED FOR SEPERATE SPINDLE

    2. Spindles are round and a little less than 1 1/2" dia. I used a small piece of shim stock to wrap the spindle (for a snug fit) inside the 1 1/2" square tube that is recommended for this hub assembly, and it made welding the parts that much easier.
      Everything else is pre-assembled - just bolt on wheels and go!

    3. This unit does include the 4-lug hub/spindle with bearings so it is ready for placement in tube, welded, and then the rim bolted on.

  6. what are the dimensions of axle stub

    I just need to know how farthe 1.25" stub sticks outof the back behind the flange please

    1. The spindle sticks our approx. 1.8" behind the flange. That is the depth you have to sink it into a tube or pipe. I have the entire hub 3D modeled and double checked the dimensions when I got the product to the model. That should be almost an exact dimension.

  10. What is the diameter of the spindle end?

    I am using my own box tube, not yours. You say the spindle end fits in 1 1/2" box tube. Box tube is measured by the OD, not ID. Do you mean 1 1/2" ID, or if it's OD, what is the wall thickness, so I know what the ID size is?

    1. The NT Staff answer is incorrect. The end of the spindle that fits into the tube measures 1-1/4". (1.249") Awful loose fit in a tube that is 1-5/16" inside. Also, it is 1.81" long from the washer, the washer is 2.5" diameter, and 3/16" thick.
