  1. What size is the hub bore for Bearing Buddies?

    What size is the hub bore for Bearing Buddies?

    1. The correct Bearing Buddy would be #2047 measuring 2.047" which gives you the correct dimension for a press fit. I started them with a soft tip hammer and drove them in with a soft piece of wood and hammer being careful not to cock the cap while installing. Hope this helps as I have this same trailer with a farm fuel tank mounted on it.

    2. The wheel hub has a bore size of 2.04".

    3. I don't believe they make bearing buddy's for this trailer.

      The normal bearing buddy sizes are 1.980" and 2.328".

      The size of the bore in the hubs for this trailer measures 2.038.

      I guess we're just stuck with packing the bearing cap full of grease.

  2. Will this trailer work with a Class 1 trailer hitch?

    1. A class 1 trailer hitch would have a 2000 pound gross trailer weight capacity. The trailer has a gross vehicle weight rating of 1200 pounds. The trailer can be towed with a class 1 trailer hitch that will have a 1 7/8" ball coupler.

  3. Are there pre-existing holes to bolt on the pocket stakes?

    I'm wondering if there's holes to mount pocket stakes to build side walls or do you have to weld/bolt them on? If not, could you drill through the frame without it affecting the rigidity?

    1. There are no holes for pocket stakes.

    2. The trailer does not have existing holes to mount stake pockets. Any holes drilled in the frame would lower the load capacity of the trailer. Any alterations to the trailer would void the warranty.

    1. The trailer will include an LED license plate light.

  5. Do you need metric tools to assemble the trailer?

    1. Yes, metric sockets and wrenches will be needed.

  6. Can the trailer be stored on its back end upright, with the toung facing up?

    1. Yes, its light and pretty easy to get it standing upright. The balance will be biased towards the axle side and you might need something to keep it propped up so it doesn't fall forward. I used an old steering wheel club against the axle to keep it propped up. A piece of wood or jack stand will probably work too.

    2. The trailer can be stored with the back end facing up. Be sure to protect the fenders and light boxes from being damaged. You would need to secure the trailer to make sure it will not fall over.

  7. Can the tongue be removed for storage?

    I would need to store the trailer, stood on end, behind a fence, not visible from outside. Can the tongue be temporarily removed or "swiveled" sideways by removing a bolt or two?

    1. Yes this could be done, you would just have to remove 3 of the 4 bolts holding the tongue to the frame and also consider how you run the wires so they don't get in the way when rotating the tongue.

    1. Just over 22"...

  10. Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin

    Will the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin be filled out and signed by the dealer to transfer ownership to me? Will it be included in the shipping boxes? This certificate must be filled out and signed for me to register the trailer and to get tags.

    1. Yes you will get a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin and it will be filled out, signed, and completely so you can register with you state. I had no issues with registration in Iowa.

    2. The Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin will be sent by USPS to the mailing address on file for the purchaser. It arrives signed one to two weeks after the trailer has been shipped.
