  1. Why is the tow speed suggested at only 45mph, is it tires trailer weight or ????

    1. I've pulled mine thousands of interstate and back road miles east and west of the Mississippi at 55 to 75mph with no negative issues. I periodically inspect the bearings, grease as needed and keep the tires at manufacturers specified pressure.

    2. The trailer itself is not recommended for speeds over 45 MPH. Per the manufacturer, the speed will not increase if you change out the tires, bearings or any other components.

  2. Can you put on Electric brakes

    1. My husband added electric brakes after we had a low speed accident with our bike. No major injuries just road rash. A swivel hitch is a must. We’re not worried about the warranty. We’ve had the trailer for over five years and love it for camping!

    2. This trailer has not been tested for use with electric brakes and is not recommended. Making modifications to this trailer would also void the warranty.

  3. can the cargo box be made watertight?

    1. We added a foam gasket around the bottom shell lip. It keeps the dust to a minimum, too.

    1. The motorcycle cargo trailer does not include a luggage rack on the top.

    1. Assembly requires open-end wrenches in sizes 10, 12, 13, 17, 19, and 21 mm. It is designed for two people and typically takes about 45 minutes.

  7. Can you purchase only the storage rack and trailer stand; If so what is the price for both items.

  9. Can one remove the top and bottom shell for storage standing erect on its bumper frame to free up garage space. If so, only the width of the tires and fenders would be of concern. In other words does removing the shell top and bottom compromise integrity?

    1. The storage shell can be removed at the user's discretion. We would not recommend storing the trailer upright on the bumper as it could damage the bumper.
