The SunStar Heating Products Ceramic Heater is ideal for spot heating or area heating of remote locations, farm buildings, shops, service areas, pump houses or other hard-to-heat spaces, providing both fuel efficiency of radiant heat and installation flexibility (not recommended for car washes). This is an energy-saving Direct Spark Ignition heater and can be controlled by a line voltage or 24V thermostat (sold separately). May require the following second stage regulators prior to the heater based on gas supply pressure: A regulator up to 2 PSIG line pressure or a regulator above 2 PSIG line pressure (both sold separately). NOT CERTIFIED OR APPROVED FOR RESIDENTIAL USE. Indoor use only. U.S.A.

NOTE: Please review the detailed Installation Operating Instructions (attached) for other specific installation requirements (gas pressure, ventilation etc.) prior to purchasing the heater.

    1. This item is not able to be converted to propane. Similar product in propane is our item 16293.

    1. The heater does require 115 volt power for the direct spark ignition.

  3. Can it be controlled by outside electric thermostat to get to 40 degrees in a greenhouse

    1. The heater can be controlled by a line volt or 24 volt external thermostat. The thermostat is not included.

  4. If these heaters are used in a dusty environment, like a machjne shed, wiil the ceramic fill over the summer so it won"t light, or should I blow the dust off and out of the unit before putting the unit back in service?

    1. It is recommended that the heater be cleaned at least once before the the start of each heater season or anytime a foreign material, such as dust, collects on it.

  6. Vent Free? NO!

    So how do you vent this item and does it come with necessary attachments for venting? Picture does not show any details.

    1. This heater does not require direct venting with a flue but does require venting in the building to dilute the products of combustion and provide fresh air for combustion. Power ventilation such as an exhaust fan in the ceiling located near and above the location of the heater is recommended. Exhaust fan is not included with the heater and must be purchased separately.
