  1. Does this fan come with the mounting braket?

    1. Yes, and it even includes mounting hardware.

    2. It comes with a bracket as shown in the product photos, plus two different sized large screws and anchors for mounting it on a concrete wall. But, there are no instructions telling you what size masonry bits to use for drilling holes for the anchors. It also came with a long plastic coated steel cable and two cable clamps, but no instructions as to what these materials were to be used for. I did not use them. I suppose if you mounted a hook on the wall above the fan, you could add an extra measure of safety by looping that cable through the hook and the fan's mounting bracket in case the screws in the wall ever loosened.

    4. Yes, it also comes with two lag bolts to mount it with. I would recommend making sure you hit something solid with lags, I don't think toggles in drywall will hold up.

    1. This fan is not rated for outdoor use in the elements. It is a fixed position fan and will not oscillate.

  8. Can a rheostat be used with this fan to slow the speed down even more than the two settings?

    I will be turning on the fan from a wall mounted switch. Can I install a dimmer switch to vary the current to the fan and slow it down beyond the lowest of the two factory settings?

    1. A rheostat control or dimmer switch of any kind to vary the current of the fan cannot be added. An alteration like this could cause damage to the fan and would void the warranty.

    1. This fan is rated at 71 decibels on high speed and 69 decibels on low speed.

    I would like to adjust the speed from a wall mounted dimmer. I see there is a pull chain for three speeds but really want to be able to use a wall switch.
