    1. This is designed as a hydraulic jack. We do not recommend any modifications to make it pneumatic as it could damage the jack and would void the warranty.

  3. I want to use 1 of these air/hydraulic jacks as a stationary substitute for the screw jack. Can this/these jacks be used upside down ?

    1. The hydraulic jack could not be used upside down. It can only be used in a vertical upright position.

  6. Water resistant?

    I am looking at making a hydraulic jack lift that will lift up one end of my boat lifts to make it easier to move or adjust the height. The jack would be in the water only while doing this and then dried and stored away.

    Would this jack be able to take being in and under water for this application?

    1. The jack would not be water resistant and could not be submersed in water.

  8. On the flat base there appear to be no mounting holes. How is this normally secured?

    1. This jack's base does not have bolt holes for mounting. It is designed only for use on hard level surfaces capable of sustaining the load. Please view item 46214 for a version of this jack with a clevis base that has holes for mounting.

    How far down from the top of the piston does the 1" diameter extend and how far down is the 5/8 hole?

    1. The diameter of the piston is 1.10" with a stroke of 18.90". From the hole to the top of the piston is .78".

    Is the diameter at the top of the piston the same as the piston itself? If not, what is the diameter at the hole at the top of the piston?

    1. This long ram jack has a piston diameter of 1-1/2". The piston has a 1" diameter at the top where the hole is.
