  1. The side of my house floods during major storms. I need to move the water out as it sits and eventually seeps under the house into one of the rooms. Can I place this outside during the storms and bypass the float to keep it running until water is gone?

    1 answer

    1. It is not recommended for this pump. This pump is designed to be installed in a sump basin for removing clear drain water and will usually pass small particles suspended in water. A check valve must be installed in the discharge pipe to keep water from draining back into the sump basin when it is not operating.
