In addition, the motor has a metal cover that protects the motor. This Electric Hoist has a compact design and weighs only 38 lbs so that you can take it to where the job is. The dual capacities make this hoist even more versatile as this hoist can be fitted with a double line to increase the weight capacity. With a single line the capacity of this unit is 550 lbs, but a double line gives this unit a greater capacity of 1100 lbs! The 39ft. cable, that lifts to 36ft. (single line) and 18ft. (double line), is long and durable enough to aid you with a wide variety of lifting tasks. The hand-held control even has a long cord of 5ft. long to ensure that the operator is a safe distance from the lifting process. While the hoist does require power to operate, it holds the load, wherever the load may be, without needing power, adding yet another safety feature to this Electric Hoist.   1. What type of mounting brackets come with it? Could it be mounted to a 6x6?

    1. The hoist will come with two U-brackets to mount it to a pole or beam. It would not mount to a 6 x 6 beam. You would need to make sure what you mount it to would be able to hold 4 times the weight capacity of the winch.

    1. The hoist would need to be mounted securely to a beam or steel pipe with the included mounting brackets.
