Dynamic and mechanical brake provides instant and safe braking. This unit features both an upper and a lower limit switch for additional safety.     1. The lifting speed is 37 feet per min. There is not an option to adjust the speed.

  2. Can it be attached using only the hook? For example, hanging it from a rigging shackle.

    1. The builder's hoist is designed to be attached to a beam clamp, scaffold pipe mounting bracket or a wall mounting bracket arm. If hanging from a rigging shackle, it must be the right type of shackle. You would need to check with the manufacturer for type and safety requirements.
