  1. Can this pump be used as an inline booster pump that shuts off when it reaches the target pressure?

    1. You need an external pressure swtich (mechanical or electronic)on the side of the systen that the pump is boosting and run the pumps electrical feed through that

    2. The model RL-SPRK200 can be used in a booster application. The pump does not provide automatic shut off capabilities.

  2. Does this need a pressure tank ? Or can it be used out the box without adding anything extra?

    1. The sprinkler pump does not require a pressure tank. It is ready to hook up as it comes.

  3. Any filter recommendations for before and after?

    1. It would be recommended to install a filter on the discharge side (after the pump). You can use a 30 to 50 mesh filter. If using for irrigation a 100-150 mesh filter is recommended.

  4. Can I reduce the port sizes for smaller inlet and outlet pipes. And if so, how does it impact the performance!

    1. The pump comes with a 2" intake port and a 1 1/2" discharge port. The port sizes could not be reduced.

  5. how do you prime the pump

    1 answer

    1. To prime the pump, you would turn off the power to it and remove the priming plug on top of the pump housing. Then fill the casing entirely with water. Replace the plug tightly and turn on the power and let the pump pull the water from your water source.
