Listing indicates dual voltage 120/230v. However, there is no 3 HP dual voltage model listed in the owners manual.
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 9 months ago
The model 4782-95 listed in the manual would be the one for the 3 HP.

I could not find grease fitting on the pump or motor. Do we need periodically lubricate pump?
1 answer-
ProductExpert10· 4 years ago
This model does not use a grease fitting. Information on greasing the pump can be located on page 3 of the product manual. A small amount of grease or Vaseline can be applied on the outside of the shroud of the impeller opening and shaft sleeve.

whAT does 2 stage mean
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 12 years ago
This pump has two impellers. The water will go through the first impeller (first stage) and then pushes it to the second impeller (second stage) then out through the hose. An advantage would be to give you a higher PSI.

Can this pump handle any sand grains or dirt, or does it only work with clean water?
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 15 years ago
A strainer is strongly recommended. It could then handle very small granules, no larger that 1/4".

Is the rated pressure (78 psi) possible with a 5 foot suction line and no additional boost?
If so, what is the maximum flow rate at 60 psi with a five foot suction line?
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 15 years ago
This would be possible and at 78 PSI you would get about 50-59 GPM.

wiring and regulator
do i need a pump starter for this pump or is it direct wire?
Also the tanks are rated at 40 psi max, How do I regulate the pressure to 40 psi??, or do you recommend using a tank with this pump?
thanks1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 15 years ago
The water pump would need to be hardwired and can be wired to run on either 120 or 230 volts. You can put a pump starter on it if you wish. To regulate the pressure you would install a motor turn down and a pressure gauge. as you turn the motor down the pressure will drop or rise when you turn the RPM up. It is actually rated for up to 150 PSI. It is your preference if you would like to put a pressurized tank on the water pump.
