This RDS Fuel Transfer Tank/Toolbox Combo with 8 GPM Pump is designed for transferring diesel fuel, gasoline or aviation fuel from the bed of a pickup to automobiles, heavy equipment, boats, 4-wheelers, generators, or anything else you may have that requires fuel. Enjoy the convenience of a gas station that goes where you go. A 12V transfer pump is included and installed. A toolbox is also built in for extra storage. DOT approved aluminum fuel tanks do not rust, which protects fuel from contamination. This tank can also be used as a diesel auxiliary tank when used in conjunction with the optional Diesel Install Kit (sold separately). It is the user's responsibility to comply with local, state and federal requirements pertaining to safe transportation, loading and discharging tank contents.

    5. This fuel transfer auxiliary tank toolbox combo has a filler neck that has a gauge in it. When you fill up you have to remove the gauge cap.

    Can this be used as an auxiliary tank too? I don't see a drain point in the photo provided.

    1. This tank does have a drain and can be used as an auxiliary tank. Please see our item #43748, #3490901, or 3490902 for auxiliary conversion kits for diesel transfer.

  3. Is there room inside to install a filter after the pump?

    1. No room inside for filter. The hose itself has to be placed very carefully or the lid will not close.

  4. Where is the fill cap located?

    1. Inside, next to the pump.

  5. How are the pump power wires routed the get outside of the box?

    1. You will need to drill a hole to route the wires

    2. The pump compartment is not equipped with a hole to route the wires out to the battery. You would drill the hole at the location to best suit your installation requirements.

  6. Can this tank be ordered with a faster GPM fuel Pump?

    1. This tank/toolbox combo unit is offered only with the 8 GPM pump. Please see our item #39611 for a 52-gallon capacity tank/toolbox combo, or item #39612 for a 70-gallon capacity tank/toolbox combo that both include a 15 GPM pump.

    2. Yes, I think you can get it at 10gpm but on a bigger tank. The 8gpm pump works great. I'm filling a Bobacat with a 43 gallon tank and it goes quick.

  7. How long is the fuel hose? I.E. How much reach does the fuel hose have?

    1. The hose is 10' long end to end not counting the nozzle.

    2. The unit comes with a 10 foot long hose. By reach if you mean beyond the pump connection, around 9 and 1/2 feet reach.

    Is a filter included or available to use with the pump?

    1. A fuel filter is not included with this tank kit. Please see our item #114300 for a filter kit that can be added.

    2. No, there is not a filter included with this pump, if you want to use a filter for the pump you could purchase one locally.

  9. Do you have to lift both handles to open lid? Or will it open by just lifting one side?

    1. The box will have two stainless steel paddle handles (one locking) linked together which allows the box to be opened from either side.
