Product Summary

Aluminum RDS Fuel Transfer Tank/Toolbox Combo is designed for transferring diesel fuel, gasoline or aviation fuel from the bed of a pickup to automobiles, heavy equipment, boats, 4-wheelers, generators, or anything else requiring fuel that you may have. Enjoy the convenience of a gas station that goes where you go. A toolbox is also built in for extra storage. DOT approved aluminum fuel tanks do not rust, which protects fuel from contamination. The tank can also be used as an auxiliary unit to provide additional capacity for a diesel factory tank with the use of an RDS diesel install kit (Item#s 3490901, 3490902 and 43748, sold separately). Diesel install kits will work with any RDS tank with a drain fitting. Auxiliary tank function is for use with diesel fuel only and is not for use with gasoline, which cannot be gravity-fed. It is the user's responsibility to comply with local, state and federal requirements pertaining to safe transportation, loading and discharging tank contents.

  8. When installing does one need to leave a clearance from the front wall of the bed to the tank so the lid will fully open?

  9. The shape of the tank

    My bed will handle 55" in width (2013 F250) because the bed rolls up to the fenders at that point. However, from the picture it looks as though the bottom of this tank is angled up and may allow it to fit in my bed. Could you tell me A) is the bottom of the tank angled up on both sides and B) if so, measuring in from the sides, how far is it to the start of the angle?

    1. The shape of the tank is a formed 90 degree angle and is more of a squared corner than tapered or angled up.

  10. difference from Model# 71925

    Other than toolbox size, the only difference i see is that Model# 71925 doesn't say no gasoline transfer. Is that all?

    As far as no gasoline transfer on this model, does that include no diesel transfer as well?

    1. This RDS fuel transfer/auxiliary tank and toolbox combo should not be used for transferring gasoline due to the high flash point and danger transporting gasoline poses. Diesel fuel and other nonflammable liquids such as fertilizer, oil, water, bio fuel, and similar fluids are all okay to use and transfer with this tank.
