  1. what is the dB sound rating at 3 meters

    1. It's loud. We use one in a 30x80 shop and we need to pause our conversations when it kicks on. About the same level as my noisy oil-free compressor at home. My guess is in the 90s for decibels.

    2. Don't know if this helps and I don't know the DB rating at three meters, but the compressor is pretty loud. That being said, for it's size and power I find it more quite than I expected. It makes less noise than my neighbor's 5hp HF compressor. My compressor was set-up in the corner of a 25'x18' shop and was tolerable when it was operating. I'm a one man show though.

    2. Per the manufacturer, the CFM at 90 PSI is not calculated. This compressor has a working PSI of 145-175.

  3. Will this unit run exclusive off of 220 volt current?

    1. This compressor requires 230V(old standard was known as 220V), so yes 220 volts will work just understand that 220 volts is actually 230 volts, just like a regular plug in used to be call 110 volts but is now 115 volts.

    1. It does not come with them. Quincy recommends in the manual not to use them on vertical tank units.

    1. This Quincy Air Compressor comes with everything needed to run upon delivery. The compressor needs to be hard wired in by an electrician, and whichever hoses, tools, filters, regulators etc. that would be required for your needs.

      We recommend purchasing a maintenance kit (replacement oil & filters) which will extend the warranty on the pump from one to 3 years, item #42637.

    1. With a strap you are able to pick up under the mounting base plate. Be very careful not to damage the copper tubing and belt guard.

  10. How do I need to wire for the 7.5hp 230 volt compressor? Is 10 guage 10/2 wire sufficient and what breaker amp on a dedicated circuit, 30? Thank you!

    1. The compressor would require an 80 amp, double pole breaker. #8 wire is recommended.
