  1. Can I replace the hose in the future if I choose?

  2. What is the max length of 1/4 or 3/8 hose this will hold id like to add more then 50 ft

    1. You shouldn’t change the length of hose on the reel. The spring that winds it up is sized for a certainty length of hose.

    2. This will hold a max 50' of 3/8" hose. This hose reel is designed for use with the included 3/8" hose and has not been tested with 1/4" hose. It is not recommended to change out the hose to a smaller size.

  3. what is the cfm this hose reel allows?

    1. I have no scientific figures, but what I can say is good. Hose is always going to be a restriction, so I'm assuming you're referring to the swivel fitting. I did the very unscientific (and probably unsafe) thing and took out the fittings from four hose reels (this one, a red Diablo reel, and two central pneumatic reels) and blew through them with my mouth. This fitting had the least restriction by far.
      Upon disassembly, the internal channel for air to flow through was much deeper than the other hoses' fittings. This is the bottleneck 99% of the time, as I've bored out the holes in some fittings without a flow improvement.

    2. CFM (cubic feet per minute) is a measurement of how much air an air compressor will produce. This hose reel is capable of 300 psi, this is higher than the psi rating of any 2 stage compressor, and can work with any cfm rating.

  4. I perfer to mount unit upside down.

    Any reason that can not be done?

    1. That's exactly how I have min aND THE 4 ROLLERS ON THE REWIND HELP IT rewind very easily from any direction

  5. how can i make the wind up tension tighter because when i retract the hose the last 5 ft is very loose with no tension so the end winds up sitting on the floor

    1. To make the wind-up tension tighter, adjust the rubber stopper on the hose. The stopper has small screws on the sides, loosen them slightly so the stopper can slide closer to the rubber grip. Once it is in the position where you want the hose to stop during retraction, tighten the screws back up.

      This quick adjustment will help the hose retract a bit tighter and stop where you want it.

  6. Can I get a longer lead in hose? It comes with 3'. I need 5' for my setup.

    1. At this time, we do not offer a compatible 5' lead in hose for this reel. This hose reel has a 3/8" NPT inlet fitting. A 10' hose like item 113475 can be used.

  7. How do I get new O rings for the swivel assembly? Mine have worn out after a little over a year and are leaking air.
