It does make some noise but not enough to interfere with the TV. I did use some silicone lube to the fan to quite it down after 3 months of use.

The blower is fairly quiet. It is just a small fan that will produce a low humming noise when it is on. It does not have a decibel rating.

Will it heat without electricity?
I know the blower requires electricity, but will the heat come on if the power fails, or does it require electricity to light?

I can help as own this model......Electricity only required to operate fan & electric 5K BTU heater - the manual "piezo" ignition button initiates the spark along with pilot button to engage the the NG or LP flame/burner. Awesome back-up heat source during a power outage!!

The heater has a built in thermostat. When the thermostat is set properly the unit should kick on and off to keep the temperature at what you have set the room for. To do this when you light the heater you will turn the knob all the way up on high. Let the heater run until the room reaches the temperature you want. You will then turn the knob down until the unit kicks off. This will set the thermostat to come on and off the keep the room at that temperature.

What "accesories" do I need to order with this heater? I have a 100 pound propane tank but I am assuming I will need a regulator and piping?
1 answer-
ProductExpert30· 12 years ago
You would need a two-stage adjustable regulator available from gas supply company. And then gas pipe from tank to where you place the heater.

how does the vent free work, safety concerns in a camp
1 answer-
ProductExpert35· 12 years ago
The air that leaks around doors and windows may provide enough fresh air for combustion and ventilation. However, in buildings of unusually tight construction, you must provide additional fresh air.
