    1. The dry weight of this generator is 510 lbs.

    2. According to the owner's manual, this generator weighs 510 lbs. without the gas or oil. 683 lbs. are mentioned but that may be inaccurate.

  3. What is the DB rating on this engine and generator ? and what is the run time per tank of fuel ?

    1. Sitting on concrete at around 50% load it's 88db 10' away from it with "A" weighting and measured with a professional grade Extech digital SPL meter set to "slow" reading.

      It's loud, not deafening - about what I expected for a 30HP generator - actually a bit quieter than I expected.

      My 20HP generator is Honda powered and noise level is similar given the size difference.

    2. This Powerhorse generator does not have a decibel rating available. The unit is designed to meet noise level guidelines. The run time at 50% load is 8 hours.

  4. Can you feed the circuit panel with both the 50 amp and 30 amp 240 v connections at the same time?

    1. Yes. I split the load on my house, 50A 240V to the house and 30A 240V to the 4 ton house AC. Works great and plenty of power to run everything.

    2. You may pull 12,000 watts from the 50 amp outlet. This will leave 6,000 watts that can be pulled from another outlet. We do suggest consulting a certified electrician to install using both the 30 amp and 50 amp outlets.

  5. Is it safe to run it outside if it’s raining or snowing?

    1. This Powerhorse generator should not be exposed to the elements. The generator can be placed under a canopy-like structure, made from heat-resistant material which is open on all sides. All parts of the canopy need to be at least 7' away from the generator to allow adequate air flow and prevent heat from building up.

  6. What are the NEMA plug types for an extension cord and exterior wall plug?

    1. The generator will come with (4) 20 amp 120 volt duplex NEMA 5-20 R, (2) 30 amp 120 volt locking NEMA L5-30R, (1) 30 amp 120/240 volt locking NEMA L14-30 R and (1) 50 amp 120/240 volt straight blade NEMA 14-50 R receptacles.

  7. To get all 18000 watts to breaker panel do you have to run two cords?

    1. Only a single cord is required to feed the breaker panel from the generator to get the full load capacity. We recommend consulting a licensed electrician to make sure that this would work for your specific application.

  8. Can this generator be connected to a house's breaker box to offer power to anything in the house?  If so, when you connect it to the breaker box, will the wiring used lower the amount of wattage the generator provides? Thank you -

    1. This generator can feed power to a house as long as the breaker box is equipped to accept a cord from the generator. The generator will still be able to provide up to 27,000 surge watts and 18,000 continuous watts. We recommend consulting a licensed electrician to make sure this generator will fit your needs.
