    1. This Hobart Handler 125EZ Wire-Feed is not recommended to weld aluminum.

      Please see my recommendation below for one that could weld aluminum with the spool-gun.

    I have many uses for a welder here at the ranch, but I would need a portable generator for power in the pasture.
    What size, (how many amps), would be needed to use this welder effectively?
