This single-phas NorTrac 230 Volt Auto Hoist AC Power Unit is interchangeable with all vertical-mount 230 Volt, 2- and 4-post car lift power units and may also be used on compatible hydraulic lifts and scissor lifts. Each unit features power-up/gravity-down function with the lowering movement controlled by the manual release valve. It is designed for vertical-mount applications only.

    What would the tonnage rating be that this unit would produce?

    2. To find this you would need to know the size of your cylinders in order to calculate the maximum lift force based on the max pressure of the unit.

    3. This AC power unit doesn't have a specific tonnage rating. Its tonnage rating depends on the size(bore diameter and length) of the hydraulic cylinder you're using it with.

  3. Could this be set up for 2 way operation?

    1. The power unit can be set up for a two way operation. The motor is not fan cooled. The motor is unable to be run continuously. The 3/8" NPT port on the side will be the return port. You will need to move the return to tank tube inside the reservoir to the corresponding port.

  4. i’d like this unit to provide power to a multi-valve manifold (to control several cylinders).  can i remove the manual valve handle and insert a return plug?  if so, which part?  i want to turn the unit on and have it provide pressure, until i turn it off

    1. The power unit does not accept a return plug. The motor is not fan cooled. A fan cooled motor is recommended to operate more than one cylinder.

    1. This power unit will accommodate left or right side plumbing. Both P1 and P2 can be used as the pressure port.

  6. I am replacing a 1,750 PSI unit with this. How do I set the overpressure to match this? Do I need special tools to do so?

    1. This unit can be set to 1750 PSI. The cartridge should be taken to a hydraulic specialist to be reset.

    1. This power unit doesn't have a specific weight rating. The rating depends on the size of the hydraulic cylinder you are using.

  10. Is this unit set up for a overhead kill switch?

    1. An overhead limit switch can be mounted overhead and used to shut off power to the AC motor. Make sure that it is properly connected.
