NorthStar Tow-Behind Trailer Sprayer with Honda GX160 engine is easily towed behind your lawn tractor or ATV on huge 18in. pneumatic turf tires. Boomless nozzles deliver a 32ft. spray width; no boom arms to store, break or get in the way. Antivortex suction filling. Gallons and liters fill gauge markings on tank. NorthStar's 55-gallon tank features extra-thick walls that won't bulge or sag. It stands up to chemicals thanks to a special polymer known for its superior chemical resistance. Tank is UV stabilized to prevent fading and other sun damage. Rugged cart made of powder-coated 16- and 10-gauge steel. Adjustable tongue for different hitch heights. Optional remote switch (Item# 22851) sold separately. Some assembly required. Designed, tested and built in the U.S.A.

  1. Does this come with recommend oil? Do they start/run engine prior to shipment?

    1. This sprayer does not include oil, so the reservoir must be checked and filled before use. The engine is started at our manufacturing facility prior to shipment, so there may be some residual oil remaining from factory testing.

  2. What size are the hoses

    1. This trailer uses a 3/4" x 16" hose, a 3/4" x 60" hose, a 3/4" x 33" hose, and a 3/4" x 22" hose. The gun hose is 1/2" x 240" long and the hose located near the boom nozzles is 1/2" x 11".

  3. Can the 32 ft boom less spray pattern be reduced to accommodate driveways

    1. To reduce the spray width, switch to a smaller nozzle or use the valve to shut off one side.

  4. how do you shut off the back sprayers when driving over concrete while engine is still running and then turn back on when over grass?

    1. We offer the remote switch, item 22851, which can be used to turn the broadcast nozzles on and off.

  5. Can this be run without water to Ron gas out of motor to store for the winter

    1. We do not recommend running this unit dry as that will damage the pump. When preparing this unit for long term storage, over the winter, we recommend adding RV antifreeze to the tank and following the instructions for draining fuel from the tank and carburetor as instructed in the engine owner's manual. There are more detailed instructions for storage found on page 31 of the Product Manual which is located below the Product Summary on the web page.

    1. To minimize spray drift, do not spray if wind speeds exceed 4 MPH.

  9. Can this be used with a bleach mix for softwashing?

    1. This sprayer is not designed for soft washing. Applying any bleach or chlorine mix would damage the pump and void the warranty.
