The NorthStar Tow-Behind Trailer Boom Broadcast and Spot Sprayer is built for efficient chemical application across lawns, food plots, pastures and acreage. Equipped with a NorthStar demand-style diaphragm pump, it delivers up to 4 GPM and 60 PSI for dependable spraying performance. The 41-gallon polyethylene tank provides extended run time between refills, while the folding boom delivers up to 100in. of broadcast coverage for large-area spraying. For targeted applications, the adjustable spray gun quickly changes from a straight stream to a hollow cone pattern.   1. Can you turn the boom nozzles to spray horizontally? For example to spray with one side of boom and spray wood line?

    1. The booms are fixed - they only rotate parallel to the ground

  2. Can you use this behind a zero turn?

    1. Generally, yes. If your zero-turn has a hitch with pin attached, then it can pull this sprayer.  I have a John D 535M zero turn, with bagging system and tow hitch pin. I LOVE this sprayer. I can do sharp turns with no problem.  The power switch has enough cord length to reach up to the seat.

    2. This tow-behind sprayer has a pin hitch and can be pulled with a number of slow moving vehicles, including a zero-turn mower.

  3. Spray Boom

    These booms fold forward for storage. While in use do they have any movement to the rear to prevent damage in the event it contacts a fence post of something similar?

    1. Yes, They are spring loaded and can bend backwards to avoid damage if you are traveling forward.

  5. Are nozzles Ultra Low Drift (Air Induction) spray tips? If not what type are they and can they handle fertilizer, weed killer and other agricultural spray products?

    1. The nozzles are not air induction spray tips. The nozzle design incorporates a pre-orifice to produce larger droplets for less drift. This sprayer and the included nozzles are rated for spraying agricultural chemicals.

  6. If you are running the boom sprayers and you need to switch to use the wand sprayer, do you turn the on/off switch off, and then operate the spray wand, or is it operated in some other manner?

    1. To discontinue use of the boom spray, close the broadcast/boom valves. To operate the spray gun you will need to squeeze the gun trigger.

  7. Where can I purchase a replacement 2 way plug Red and Black wire that gets mounted on the sprayer trailer on the front tongue? The male portion on mine broke off so the plug assembly needs to be replaced. Mine has 2 small screws/bolts that bolts it on.

  9. I'm getting ready to purchase the 41 gal. Tow-Behind Trailer Boom Broadcast and Spot Sprayer, but will probably replace the 16” tubeless wheel with solid Flat Free Tires (max load 50 lbs/tire). What Axle Hole Diameter do I need?
