    1. The pump does not come with a shaft. The pump will attach to the engine and use the engine shaft. The pump will be female.

    1. This pump requires an 11 HP to 13 HP engine, with a 1" diameter keyed shaft, to operate properly.

  5. will this pump work with gravity water flow?

    1. This is not compatible with gravity flow. An insufficient water supply will damage your pump. Make sure the water supply is steady and is 20% over the rated flow of your pump.

    can I use this Model# NSZW3540 pump to replace my ez3040 pump.

    I have a need to reduce water volume.

    1. This NorthStar Pressure Washer Pump will attach to any 11 horsepower engine with a 1 inch diameter shaft that is 3 -31/64 inches long. The bolt circle on this pump is 6-1/2 inches. These attachment specs are the same as the EZ3040 pump so it is a suitable replacement as long as the other components of your pressure washer(hose, gun, etc.) are rated for the higher psi of 4000.

    do you have a physical specs sheet for this item?
    I am specifically interested in the bolt pattern and and
    bolt pattern measurements where the pump attaches to
    the engine. Also, length and diameter of the input shaft
    would be helpful to know.
